ℹ️ Time is one of the six dimensions of project performance.
All projects have a defined duration. By definition, a project is a finite piece of work with clear start and end dates.
The project manager sets a baseline for milestones along the project and monitors progress against these.
If delays occur, or are forecast, then the necessary actions are taken to keep as close as possible to the baseline dates. In some cases, the best course of action is to set a new baseline if the project is still justifiable.
